Michael Bisping open to boxing match with Jake Paul

Over the weekend, Jake Paul took a shot at Michael Bisping, saying the UFC Hall of Famer was on his "blacklist" of future opponents.

What caused an exchange of opinions between the two in social networks. And so, as interest in this potential fight began to mount, Bisping posted a video on his YouTube page answering the biggest question: Will he fight Jake Paul?

"So I want to fight Jake Paul? Listen, here's the thing, I had a great run. I am very happy with what I achieved. I am happily retired. I am very, very happily retired. But I miss the thrill of competition, and I don't necessarily see Jake Paul as a threat. I pulled out of fighting because I only had one eye and I didn't want to risk my other eye. In boxing, bigger gloves, against Jake Paul, I don't really see him as a threat. So Jake Paul, beating you up sounds like fun.

"Of course you are a great star, and God bless you, well done for you, I am not hating. Well done, you have done great things, jokes aside, because I'm kidding. You've done really well, you're making a lot of money, you're a big star, you're getting a lot of pay-per-views and stuff like that. So for that reason, I probably would. I probably would, but we've been here before. He emailed [Bisping's manager] Audie Attar, Paradigm Sports management, or his manager did, asking if I would fight him, offering me $500,000. I said double it down, add pay-per-view and we'll see where we go. I didn't even get an answer. So he is doing the same thing again here."

Paul's agent, Nakisa Bidarian, previously confirmed that Paul and his team made Bisping an offer prior to Paul's fight with Ben Askren, but they couldn't come to an agreement, and the reality is that, even now, a fight between the two would face considerable obstacles.

"This fight is never going to happen, but I'll tell you what, Jake, if you want to take down, if you want to get in the squared circle with me, I'll oblige. I will do it. Sounds like fun. It gives me a reason to train, to get in shape: give me a few months [to] lose a couple of pounds and come on, baby! No problem. The only thing is that they will not penalize me. I doubt one of the athletic commissions will let me down at this point because I used to lie about my eye, but now the secret is out. The cat is out of the bag. But there are many places where they won't care, many places where they don't care. What about Dubai? Dubai seems to be hosting a lot of fights. Let's go to Dubai. What about an Indian reservation? No problem there. Many countries in Europe, Africa, China: the world is our oyster. There are no athletic commissions everywhere. I'm pretty sure we could find a spot that would allow us to take down."
